The burrito bet
The incongruity between knowledge and confidence causes many debates among scientists. One way to make debates more fun is to wager a substantive but affordable prize that is representative of local culture. In SoCal, for instance, the most appropriate prize is the burrito, which fuels a sizable fraction of SoCal research. Good notes are needed because the losing party tends to "forget" about the wager.
